Follow below steps to get your details registered with Ration Card department:

  • Fill in the form completely
  • Attach required documents like Aadhar Card copy, 2 passport size attested photographs, address proofs etc
  • Submit the form back to authorities
  • Get the acknowledgment slip
  • Your ration card will be issued within 45 days of the application
In case your card is not issued within 90 days, then you can head over to higher departments (for complaint) using your acknowledgment number as reference.

If you are the sole owner of your house, then you need to showcase copy of house allotment letter or copy of house tax receipt or anything that can prove your ownership. In case you are a tenant then you will have to showcase NOC from real house owner or rent receipt against family head or else the copy of owner's ration card.

  3. Enter details like UIDAI Aadhar Card Number, NFS Application ID, New Ration Card Number (or old ration card number) in the boxes provided
  4. In case you don't have above details then you can check other option to search ration card details using name of head of family, house number, mobile number as well
  5. Enter the required details and hit the "Search" option
  6. You will get your ration card details
How to Register Mobile Number with NFSA 2013

If you want to get food security related alerts/updates directly on your mobile number then you can anytime register/update your mobile number with NFSA 2013 in Delhi. Below is how to do that:
  • Visit http://nfs.delhi.gov.in/Citizen/UpdateMobileNumber.aspx
  • You will get below page

  • Enter Aadhar Card Number of the family's head or simply the NFS ID
  • Now enter Ration Card number followed by name of the head of the family (as per the ration card)
  • Enter new mobile number that you want to update or add
Once you enter the details and hit the Save option, you will get OTP on your given number. Verify the OTP to get latest food security updates directly on the phone.

How to track ration card status in Delhi

In order to track ration card status, you need to keep the hold on reference ID or acknowledgment number. This is the number that you will get after submitting your ration card application with the department. You can use it to track your ration card status both online and offline. Issue duplicate ration cards in Delhi

Duplicate or emergency ration cards are useful in many scenarios. They can be of great importance when someone looses his/her ration card or is in urgent need of it. Follow below steps for same:

  • Get the duplicate card form
  • Fill in the details along with the reason to issue duplicate card
  • In case you have your old ration car and want it to be replaced with new one then you have to submit it at time of application registration
  • You also need to give in writing that your name do not belong to any other ration card in the country

You will be issued duplicate ration card afterwards.
