Uttar Pradesh Government has finally opened the doors to online birth registration portal. People can now register their infant's details at portal directly. Please follow below steps for online birth registration in UP:

  • New page with option for "Apply Birth Certificate" will open like this
  • Visit Apply Birth Certificate option to see below page

  • Fill in complete details asked in the registration form
  • Provide valid phone number and email ID's. These will be used for verification
  • Once your account is verified through OTP, you now have the access to apply for online birth certificate
  • Proceed further and upload the supporting documents (scanned copies)
  • Pay the application processing fee (both online as well as offline)
  • If details are found to be correct then you will get birth certificate within 30 days

Although you can apply anytime for birth registration. However it is suggested to apply within first 30 days of the birth. If you apply within 30 days then you don't need to go through any extra formality in terms of approvals and late fee. Everything will be smooth and you will get the certificate easily. In case you apply after 30 days, then you will need to collect extra approvals from senior Government officials along with provision of late fee (will not be much though).
